The Human Legacy....
It began a long time ago…God created man in his own image and for him an help-meet. We have never been the same since.
A family portrait or image of a loved one is a cherished and seemingly fading commodity in this age. Why should it be that way? I read not long ago, after the Katrina Hurricane disaster that the single biggest thing people took with them when they abandoned their home along the gulf coast was a portrait collection. In times past, only the truly wealthy could afford to document their family heritage in image form. Paintings were really the only way to do so, until the advent of the photograph at the turn of the nineteenth into the twentieth century. Kodak invented and came out with a small camera that the average person could learn to operate. It was called “The Brownie” As time went on, color was introduced, and then video and digital cameras hit the store shelves. Now anyone can “take” a picture.
But what about when it really matters and when you want it done right? That’s when you call a professional to do it, right?
